Junghans Uhren GmbH is Germany's largest watch and clock manufacturer.

The company is located in Schramberg, Baden-Württemberg. On 15 April 1861 Erhard Junghans created the company „Junghans und Tobler“ together with his brother-in-law Jakob Zeller-Tobler in Schramberg .

The company began to produce wristwatches in 1927. Beginning in the 1950s, the virtuoso designer Max Bill created clocks and watches for Junghans and the relationship lasted many years. A remarkable example of his work is a wall clock he designed in 1956/57 that is in the collection of The Museum of Modern Art (New York). In 1962 Bill also created mechanical wristwatches for Junghans – impressive timepieces, not only for their aesthetic design, but also their precision.

In the late 1980s, Junghans introduced the first radio-controlled table clock on the world market. In 1990, the first radio-controlled wristwatch followed, called the MEGA 1. In 1995 Junghans presented the ultimate combination of the solar powered watch with ceramic housing and solar-powered technology. Currently, Junghans is developing with the Japanese clock maker Seiko a globally oriented wristwatch, which automatically sets the local time in respective time zones.

Junghans is a well-known brand in Europe. However, the brand is not heavily marketed in the United States, and remains relatively unknown in North America.

Preowned SONY 21 inches TV

SONY Trinitron 21' VIT CCT Teletext
Good condition
Price:RM230

Trinitron is Sony's brand name for its line of aperture grille based CRTs used in television sets and computer display monitors. One of the first truly new television systems to enter the market since the 1950s, the Trinitron was announced in 1966 to wide acclaim for its bright images, about 25% brighter than common shadow mask televisions of the same era. Constant improvement in the basic technology and attention to overall quality allowed Sony to charge a premium for Trinitron devices into the 1990s.

Patent protection on the basic Trinitron design ran out in 1996, and it quickly faced a number of competitors at much lower prices. Sony responded by introducing their flat-screen FD Trinitron designs (WEGA), which maintained their premier position in the market into the early 2000s. However, these designs were surpassed relatively quickly by plasma and LCD designs. Sony removed the last Trinitron televisions from their product catalogs in 2006, and ceased production in early 2008. Video monitors are the only remaining Trinitron products being produced by Sony, at a low production rate, although the basic technology can still be found in downmarket televisions from 3rd parties.

The name Trinitron was derived from trinity, meaning the union of three, and tron from electron tube, after the way that the Trinitron combined the three separate electron guns of other CRT designs into one.

Gantang

Sulur Kacang

The 'sulur kacang' (pea tendrils) motif featured on the new 50 sen coin is popular among traditional woodcarvers and silversmiths. The motif is drawn from the graceful twists and curls of long bean vines, and can be seen embellishing fine jewellery pieces and boxes, in addition to decorating doorways, window frames and wood paneling in traditional wooden homes. Fine lines in the motif background are part of the security features.

20 sen
Bunga Melur

The 'bunga melur' or jasmine flower is culturally significant among the three major races in Malaysia. Its aromatic scent makes it an important part of traditional ceremonies like weddings and prayers. It is also a popular motif in traditional arts and crafts like embroidery and silverwork. On the new 20 sen coin, the jasmine flower is featured with a 'destar siga' cloth motif in the background.

On the new 10 sen coin, this heritage is represented by the unique weave pattern of the Mah Meri tribe in Peninsular Malaysia.

The 'destar siga' cloth is an indigenous form of fabric weaving that originates from the Kadazan Dusun tribe in Sabah. On the new 5 sen coin, the 'destar siga' pattern is prominently featured, accompanied by the 'sulur kacang' as a background motif.
